USMID-AF program a $390m five-year World Bank-funded Program is implemented by the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban development.

Masaka City is currently implementing new road infrastructure projects worth Shs45 billion, for 8 kms which include  Katwe Bypass 0.646km, Baines Terrace 0.393km, Birch Avenue 0.110km, Alexander road 0.407km, Hill Road 1.450km, Circular Rise 0.188km, Circular Road 1.41km, and Barracks Road 1.30km.

Under the same budget, streetlights are being installed along Kitovu, Nyendo, Speke Roads, a section of Masaka-Kampala highway, Masaka-Mbarara highway and Masaka-Mutukula highway.
